What is Artist Development?

This looks different for each artist we work with.  Depending on where you are in your career, your goals, your skill level and where you feel you need support, we can provide custom packages that help you to move forward as a music artist.   Examples of services we may include in your Artist Development package are:  vocal coaching, branding (graphic design), basic website design, a marketing strategy or writing and recording your first single.

Once your have clarity regarding your goals and your needs, QLR can help you to reach them.  Whether you are looking to develop a more confident voice, book your first show or write your first original song, your custom built package will support where you are going.   Our packages can be purchased as a one time experience or ongoing whether that be weekly or monthly.

Music Production

• bring your ideas to life - we use Logic Pro to develop your ideas
• midi input to get your ideas down - can later be replaced by live instruments or taken to a larger studio for further development / mix / master
• arrangement input

Beat Creation

• learn how to make your own beats - all you need is a MAC laptop with USB port
• learn on Logic Pro or using Garageband (a great place to start for beginners)
• deepen your understanding of "beat", "rhythm", "texture" and "feel"
• develop a beat idea as a starting point to write a song to

Administrative Support

• flexible options depending on what support you need
• event assistance (curating, planning and/or securing live entertainment)
• graphic design 
• assistance securing live musicians for your performance or recording session
